The first bunch of times I came down to Cabo was in the late 80's/early 90's and Marina Fiesta was one of the only hotels on the marina...what you are staying in used to be called a Junior Suite...It's been totally remodeled except for the granite floor/walls in the bathroom. Those are original, which is probably why it's so tight. It is too bad that they remodeled because it used to be real old Mexico tiles and curved archs..wonderful. I'm glad to see it's still going strong. Also just as an FYI you are in the original section, they added on in the mid 90's during which they added a couple buildings and added a 2nd pool that doesn't have a view. I bet it was super quiet because those walls are THICK and have withstood several hurricanes over the years

How did you find noise/were the walls thin?

Sorry to say but, this hotel is the worse hotel in Montreal. The employees such as, bellhop, door person are so money hungry. They have zero customer service skills. They look at each tourists/guest, as a dollar bill figure. The Hotel itself is ok, but definitely not the money hungry employees.

This took me back! I worked a couple summers there and have a million memories flooding back! The back of the hotel dining room was the employee dining room(EDR) and my orientation(dont get eaten or gorred) was in the map room the fountain worked(faint Taste of sulfer) and there was no wi-fi, tv or raido (but lots of foreign kids from all over) BEST summers of my life! Sorry about rambling

How was the food? I’m nervous about C category hotels after staying at Dreams Los Cabos last year.

Okay, my wife just got back from Hacienda Encantada. Here are a few observations: 1) All inclusive? Pass, unless the following apply: first, you are a big drinker and you don’t mind staying on the resort property for most, if not all of your meals. Second, you eat a bunch, especially breakfast. We skipped breakfast every morning, except for coffee. We didn’t miss the all inclusive at all. 2) They will hard sell you the time share BS. After we checked in, they will “give you your welcome packet”. Be prepared to say NO many times, and they will still book you for a presentation that you won’t attend. 3) Upgrades! Upgrades! Upgrades! Everything is tied to a damn upgrade. We paid $600 to move from the phase 1 building to the phase 3 building which was supposed to give you roof top access. What they don’t tell you is that the Sky Gym, which is awesome, is not included in roof top access. What a joke! 4) The roof top is beautiful! Unfortunately, the vibe from the staff and timeshare owners is really creepy. Instead of the $20 drinks on the roof top, stay in the very nice lower pools and pay $10. 5) $25 each way to town with the red-stipe cabs, so make it worthwhile. We wish we would have stocked up at the market on the first day. Immediately go to the store and load up. Walmart will deliver, but it’s a pain to set up your account. There is a local delivery service people were taking about with an “American Plan” for a week’a worth of common groceries. Looks to be very worth while. 5) Go to El Farallon! It’s amazing! Don’t buy the champagne at the entrance. Turns out I paid $360 for 4 glasses. Had no idea. 🤣 6) Book the Sunset cruise through the concierge. It was awesome! 7) The harbor area isn’t worth the trip unless you are into being harassed every 10 feet to buy cheap trinkets, a fishing trip, or drugs. 8) If you can afford a private shuttle to and from the airport, do it! Don’t let my post deter you from the hotel. Overall, it’s great! Just be aware that Cabo is what Cabo is. It’s a bit like Vegas, on the cost, without the gambling. Not a great place for kids, but awesome for adults that want to relax!

We stayed at these while we were camping. We would camp 3 nights and get a cabin one night. We sneaked into the bath house while camping because you can't shower unless you are at the cabins. We had reserved one night at Volcano House, but we traded that night for several nights at the cabins & we stayed in the park 3 weeks. The cabins were a lot cheaper than they are now, but you had to bring your own bedding because the army blankets they rented then were nowhere near warm enough. We had sleeping bags.

Ya security is pretty useless they don’t get payed much ya know,but they wear i nice red jacket and look important.why would they want to even deal with the early morning crackheads,just let them play there 5 cent keno and smoke cigs.

Are the water slides just for kids?

Very nice , stayed at hotel oasis meny times always enjoyed it there. Hotel La Mision is my new place to stay at very , very nice and it's also on the melecon (boardwalk) a little closer to the center of town , close to the Marina as well

We had the s’mores cheesecake served at the del and it was our favorite

This hotel has the major distinction of being associated with Tina Turner's flight for freedom. On July 4, 1976 (yes, "Independence Day" -- how appropriate), a battered, bloodied and bruised Tina Turner ran into this hotel for cover as she left husband Ike Turner for the final time. Tina's white pantsuit still showed splattered blood stains from Ike's assault earlier that afternoon. The shocked hotel manager gave Tina shelter and food as she hid from Ike. Back then this was a Holiday Inn. Tina never looked back from then on.
